Sabres end 12-game road skid, top Devils (AP)

The Buffalo Sabres are going into the NHL All-Star break with smiles on their faces and much-needed hope for the second half of the season. Jason Pominvile and Nathan Gerbe scored in a shootout and Ryan Miller made 27 saves as the Sabres snapped a 12-game losing streak on the road and a five-game overall skid with a 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night.
